Messaging Policy
Effective Date: September 16, 2026
Last Updated: September 16, 2026
This policy has two parts.
Part 1 describes the text messages ShoBiz sends to you — what programs exist, how you opt in and out, and what they cost. It is the disclosure required by mobile carriers and the CTIA.
Part 2 sets out the rules businesses must follow when they use ShoBiz to message their own contacts.
ShoBiz is operated by VaultWiz LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste 5170, Sheridan, WY 82801.
Part 1 — Messages ShoBiz Sends You
1. Our Messaging Programs
Program | What it is | Consent | Typical frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
Account & security | Sign-in verification, password resets, security alerts, and critical account notices | Required to operate your account | As triggered by your activity |
Service notifications | Appointment reminders, task and deadline alerts, document and signature requests, payment and invoice notices | Opt-in when you enable the feature | Varies with your activity; typically 0–10 per week |
AI-assisted replies | Automated replies generated with AI assistance when you message a ShoBiz number | You message us first | Only in reply to you |
Marketing & campaigns | Product news, offers, and promotional campaigns | Separate express written consent | No more than 4 per month |
Sample messages
Account: "ShoBiz: Your verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out."
Service: "ShoBiz: Reminder — your appointment with Acme Co is tomorrow at 2:00 PM. Reply STOP to opt out."
AI-assisted: "ShoBiz: Thanks for reaching out. Someone will follow up shortly. Reply STOP to opt out."
Marketing: "ShoBiz: New this month — automatic statement import. See what's new: . Reply STOP to opt out."
2. About AI-Assisted Replies
Some replies from a ShoBiz number are generated with AI assistance. We say so plainly because you deserve to know when you are not reading something a person wrote.
A person can review and take over any conversation, and a business can disable AI messaging entirely for its account. AI-generated replies are never used to make a decision about you that has legal or similarly significant effects.
3. How You Opt In
By providing your mobile number and agreeing at the point of collection — when creating your account, enabling a notification feature, or checking a clearly labelled consent box on a form.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is never a condition of purchasing anything. Account and security messages are part of operating your account.
4. How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message. We will send one confirmation and then stop. You may also reply QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or REVOKE.
To rejoin, reply START, or re-enable messaging in your account settings.
Opting out of marketing messages does not stop account and security messages needed to operate your account. To stop those, close your account.
5. Help
Reply HELP to any message, or contact us:

6. Cost, Frequency, and Delivery
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's plan determines any charge; ShoBiz does not charge you for receiving messages.
Message frequency varies by program, as shown in Section 1.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage.
Supported on major US carriers. Service may not be available on all carriers.
7. Your Privacy
We do not sell or share mobile opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent records with third parties for marketing purposes. Mobile information is used only for the messaging program you opted into.
We share phone numbers with our messaging provider solely to deliver messages on our behalf. Our current provider is SignalWire. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Part 2 — Rules for Businesses Sending Through ShoBiz
When you use ShoBiz to message your own clients, leads, or contacts, you are the sender. ShoBiz provides the tooling; the legal obligations are yours.
You are responsible for complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, the CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices, carrier requirements including A2P 10DLC registration, and applicable state law.
8. Consent
You must have documented consent before sending. You must be able to show, for each recipient:
What they agreed to receive — the program and its purpose
When and how they agreed — timestamp, method, and the exact wording shown
What disclosures they saw — message frequency, that rates may apply, and how to opt out
Requirements by message type:
Message type | Consent required |
|---|---|
Transactional — appointment, delivery, account | Prior express consent |
Marketing or promotional | Prior express written consent, with a clear disclosure and an affirmative action such as a checked box (never pre-checked) |
Never:
Buy, rent, or scrape phone numbers, or message a purchased list
Treat consent given to another business as consent to you
Treat a phone number provided for one purpose as consent for marketing
Message a number on your suppression list or the National Do Not Call Registry without an applicable exemption
9. Message Content
Every message must:
Identify you by name, at least in the first message of a conversation
Include opt-out instructions in the first message and in marketing messages
Be accurate and not misleading in sender identity, subject, or content
Do not use link shorteners with shared domains (bit.ly and similar). Carriers filter them heavily. Use your own domain or the platform's link handling.
10. Honoring Opt-Outs
You must honor STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, and REVOKE immediately, and any plainly worded request such as "stop texting me."
ShoBiz processes standard opt-out keywords automatically and suppresses further messages to that number for your account. That does not transfer your legal obligation to you monitoring your own conversations — a request phrased in words our automation does not catch is still an opt-out, and you must act on it.
Never require someone to call, email, or log in to opt out.
11. Quiet Hours
Do not send marketing messages outside 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM in the recipient's local time zone. Some states are stricter, and some restrict weekend or holiday sending. Where the recipient's time zone is unknown, use the most conservative window available.
Transactional messages the recipient specifically requested — a booking confirmation, a security code — may be sent when triggered.
12. Prohibited Message Content
In addition to the Acceptable Use Policy, carriers prohibit messaging related to what the industry calls SHAFT:
Sex — adult or sexually explicit content
Hate — hate speech and harassment
Alcohol — where not age-gated and lawfully permitted
Firearms — weapons and ammunition
Tobacco — including vaping and e-cigarettes
Also prohibited: cannabis, CBD, and kratom regardless of state law; illegal substances; gambling; payday and high-risk lending; debt relief and credit repair offers; cryptocurrency; multi-level marketing and get-rich-quick schemes; phishing, fraud, and deceptive marketing.
13. Registration
A2P 10DLC requires brand and campaign registration before you send. You must provide accurate registration information, keep it current, and send only the traffic your campaign declares.
Registering a campaign for one use case and sending another is a violation — of carrier rules and of these terms.
14. Monitoring and Enforcement
We monitor aggregate messaging health — complaint rates, opt-out rates, carrier filtering, and spam reports.
We may throttle, suspend, or disable messaging for your account if your traffic generates excessive complaints or carrier violations, if you send outside your registered campaign, or if we reasonably believe your sending breaches this policy or the law. Where practical we will warn you first; where a violation threatens platform-wide carrier standing, we act immediately.
Carrier fines, penalties, and filtering costs caused by your traffic are your responsibility under the indemnification section of the Terms of Service.
15. Reporting a Problem
To report abusive messaging sent through ShoBiz, email info@shobizapp.com with the subject line "Messaging Abuse". Include the sending number, the receiving number, the message text, and the date and time. We investigate every report.
16. Changes
We will revise the "Last Updated" date when this policy changes, and give at least 30 days' notice of material changes to the email address on your account.
